First of all, Sally who organized the move for me, did a great job, after the move, I would give her and this company an absolute ZERO!!!!!! I was not present when my home furnishings were delivered, I had a work associate help me with this, as I was on the road working. I have had some bad experience's with movers damaging my product in the past, so I purchased purple shrink wrap, so when my furnishings are delivered without this color of shrink wrap, I know immediately there was an issue, at some point throughout the move. I made a coffee table, I had over 50 hours of my time building this table, and finishing this table, over 10 coats of finish, if you take into account my time, and finish products, I have over $2,000 dollars invested in this table. I wrapped this table with 2 shipping blankets, and a ton of purple shrink wrap. When I finally arrived at my apartment, the coffee table had no shrink wrap, or shipping blankets, and as you may assume, damaged. I have sent Sally several emails asking her how I can put in a claim, NO ANSWER, BUT BEFORE THE MOVE, SHE ANSWERED EVERY SINGLE PHONE CALL FROM ME!!!! I have also left several messages on there main phone line, and as you may assume again, no return phone calls. Please, Please, Please, do not use this company, you may possibly regret using them on the back end, as I am now, I STRONGLY FEEL THEY ARE A CROOKED,CORRUPT COMPANY, AND DO NOT WANT TO TAKE OWNERSHIP!!!!!
Southern Vanlines helped me last minute! They saved my life. That's what happened. My mother in law had lived with us for a year. Nightmare. You know this. One night she said she would move to NJ. Well I called Southern Vanlines. I had a pleasant conversation with Nick. He organized a move from FL to NJ for my mother in law. By the way, the service was great, price was great, too. All movers were polite and efficient.

I wish there was an option of 0 stars! Honestly, the 1 star would be for Sally who we arranged the move with, and the crew who came and packed up my daughter's small load for a move to Washington D.C. They were the only bright spot in the whole ordeal! We did our due diligence and checked all the reviews, called around for various quotes, and decided to go with Southern Vanlines. They came on a Thursday morning. We had everything ready and already in our garage. The majority of her stuff was boxes of clothes, books, and some small furnishings including her headboard and one mattress. We were told it would be an extra $750 over the quote over the phone. I agreed since I really had no other option. The arrival date was supposed to be Saturday or Sunday. We drove up on Friday, waited around Saturday at her apartment but really didn't expect it til Sunday. Sunday - still nothing and no response from office since it was closed. We started calling immediately Monday morning and nobody could get the person driving the van load up to respond. Finally by lunchtime I got in touch with Sally again and she said the driver had broken down in North Carolina and was waiting on a part. He would get on the road Tuesday and delivery should be Wednesday. Wednesday - nothing, Thursday - nothing. By this time they are avoiding our calls. My husband had to call on his cell because they wouldn't answer mine or my daughter's caller ID. My daughter is starting a new job Monday morning and has no work clothes, no bed, nothing. We had to purchase an air mattress and sheets and towels so she could stay at her apartment instead of having to spend extra nights at a hotel. I ended up changing my flight twice because I had planned to stay to help her unpack, and she was stressing out over the move, starting a new job, and having nothing! The van broke down AGAIN and the driver told us that someone named Juan was picking up the load and gave us Juan's number. Juan said her load was at the front of the truck and wanted to do the other dropoffs first. Mainly because we were being such a pain in the @ss, we convinced him to come directly to us. They arrived at 8:30 on Saturday night (a week after the promised arrival date) and had to unload others' belongings to get to hers. Plastic tubs of other people's stuff was broken, a bin of someone's paperwork was open and scattered - it was awful. They didn't finish the move until 11:00 that night. At least all my daughter's stuff was delivered and only a picture frame and her headboard were broken beyond repair. I've seen all the other glowing reviews and maybe ours was just a fluke, but wanted to relate our experience
office move - done right
Had to move my office space from sc to ga , came across this company online , spoke to a nice lady named sally , she was very pleasant to speak to an helped me out a lot , ended reserving the move with them , i can say that i couldn't be more satisfied with their services , the guys showed up at 7 am (4men crew) and got it all done the same day , leo the forman was great to work with , thank again .. you did great!
